About Us

A message from Saddlewood:

Saddlewood has been a dream come true for horse-loving girls since the gates to our 400 acre farm opened in 1968. Fifty years later much has changed, but Saddlewood remains a family-owned business as we, Heather and Kim Smith, have taken over operation of the farm founded by our mother; the late Janis Smith.

Since its inception, Saddlewood's goal has been to create a safe haven for girls to escape their lives in the city, connect with animals, nature, and forge genuine friendships outside of the pressures of their daily lives. We have stayed true to this mission and continue to welcome new campers into our Saddlewood community, and maintain our connection with past campers.

As we enter into a new normal from COVID-19 with residential camps being unable to open this summer, we are asking for your help in supporting the Saddlewood herd.

To our community, and to those who choose to support the Saddlewood herd through these uncertain times, thank you!
